Files of treasurer/comptroller Henry J. Muller, primarily dating 1930-1945, detailing contracts and assignments of title in motion pictures to insure proper allocation of payments. The entries for the stockholder-producers (Chaplin, Fairbanks, Pickford, Selznick, Swanson) of the United Artists Corporation are particularly important in that they detail not only financial and contract information for individual films, but also the stockholders' interrelationships and negotiations with regard to the activities and fortunes of the corporation. Also present is information on the transfer of stock between old and new owners.
